When I am bored, I think about what I can do to pass the time. Sometimes I think about digging in the closet and finding
something that would occupy me for the day. Other days, I just play my game online. I am always looking to find things to
do, no matter how rediculous they are.
When I went up to Minnesota to visit family for Christmas, my dad bought me a webcam, so we could Skype each other, even
though we were about 500 miles away from eachother. This proved to be fun, and I love my webcam, because I only had owned
one webcam in the past, and it was old and didn't work very well.
Today, there were thunderstorms in the area, and it was raining. I was bored, so I thought of something cool. I decided
to wrap my webcam in plastic, and tape my webcam to the outside of the window, and broadcast the stream on ustream.tv, so
people could see what the weather conditions were like here.
I searched for a webcam program that was easy to use, and could alter the live stream. While searching, I found programs
that proved to be too hard to use, and some just plain had bad reviews. That's when I found WebcamMax.
WebcamMax caught my attention right away because it had good reviews. I decided to give it a try. It was pretty easy to
use. It was straightforward, and all the functions were categorized neatly. There are features, such as the ability to draw
on live streams, and the ability to zoom in on the live stream as well. You can also make it look like its snowing on the
live stream, even when it's not! It's also great to use with ustream.tv and messaging services such as MSN Messenger and Skype!
I was looking to have a picture of the live radar at the bottom corner of the live stream while broadcasting the weather
conditions. WebcamMax made this dream possible! You can choose to have a Picture in Picture of things such as photos, movies,
and the "Follow Cursor" function all at the bottom hand screen of the live stream. You can also record whole windows as the
Picture in Picture, or if you wish, select a part of the screen you want to capture, by dragging the red box anywhere you
would like, and resizing it.
